Su DiTuttoPc Forum è stato segnalato un programma davvero utilissimo: permette di attivare il tema Aero, le sue funzioni e le trasparenze, sull' edizione Basic di Windows 7 che, come sapete, essendo la versione più economica non lo supporta. Per verificare la compatibilità di Aero col vostro hardware,. Il programmino, talmente semplice da utilizzare che non necessita di spiegazioni, lo potete scaricare dal link sottostante. 
Requisiti Hardware per attivare in Windows 7 le seguenti funzioni: aero, anteprime finestre della "SuperBarra", Flip 3D,
Trasparenza varie.
Per poter avere AERO occorre che la macchina corrisponda a delle specifiche tecniche minime: un processsore da 1 GigaHertz di frequenza (single core, dual o quad core),
512 Megabyte di memoria di sistema (meglio almeno 1Gb), una scheda grafica con caratteristiche ben precise: DirectX9,
Pixel Shader 2, WDDM (Windows Display Drive Model ), 64 Mb minimo di memoria grafica dedicata e fino a 256 Mb per una risoluzione più alta.
Ricordo inoltre che installando Windows 7 su un PC Virtuale tipo: VirtualBox, Microsoft VirtualPC 2004/2007, o altri casi, il 99,9% delle volte AERO non verrà mai attivato a causa della scarsa emulazione grafica di tali programmi.
